Half A War by Joe Abercrombie

Half a War (Shattered Sea, #3)Half a War by Joe Abercrombie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A really good end to the series. Like the previous book, completely new characters are the POVs .
As with all the books I really liked the characters, generally decent plot and battle scenes well done.
The political to and fro really works so well throughout the book .
The war winning method ( I’ll avoid spoilers) was all a bit too easy for me however .I get the point but it could have been done better.
Still a really good read and a nicely done ending .

About Paul Walsh

I'm a big fan of fantasy and scifi, which would make up most of my reading but will branch out often enough. Favourite authors vary over time but generally include Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Conn Iggulden, Robert Harris, Karen Maitlan, Kate Mosse, Anne Rice, Philip K Dick, Ray Bradbury. John Scalzi, Mark Lawrence, Pat Rothfuss and a host of others. I'm not the harshest reviewer but will note down a few words on all books I read.
